When a contract is ready, Review and send takes you to the final checkpoint on the deal's Signatures tab. Nothing leaves the NLS until you confirm. Read the finished agreement in the viewer. The signature boxes are placed for you; drag them if you need to.

Questions about this

How do I send a document for e-signature?

Click Review and send on the document; it takes you to the deal's Signatures tab. Read the agreement (the signature boxes are placed for you, and you can drag them), check who signs, click Update signers, then click Send for signature. Nothing leaves The NLS until you confirm.

In what order do people sign, and can I add someone who isn't on the deal?

You sign first, then your client, and the invitations go out by email in that order. Someone who isn't on the deal, like a cooperating agent, can be added under External signers.

How do I see whether someone has signed?

Open the document's row to see each signer: when it was delivered, opened and signed. Click Remind if someone's gone quiet; their menu also lets you edit their email, resend the invitation, see the activity or copy the signing link.

I need to change a document that's already out for signature. What do I do?

Open the document menu and choose Correct document. It cancels the current request straight away and opens a new version, with everything you'd entered, for you to fix and send again.

Do my seller or buyer need an NLS account to sign?

No. Signers get a secure link by email; no NLS account is needed and there's nothing to print. They read the agreement, sign in their box and click Complete.

What happens once everyone has signed?

The agreement shows as completed and is filed in the deal's Vault, and the executed copy goes to every party. For a listing agreement, the listing also turns Active.
