Add a party to a deal

Everyone involved in a sale can be a party on the deal, so their details flow into every document and they can be chosen as a signer. From My Deals, open the deal and click Parties. Everyone already on the deal is listed, with their role and contact details.

2. 0:21From My Deals, open the deal and click Parties. Everyone already on the deal is listed, with their role and contact details.
3. 0:34Click Add party. Search your CRM clients to pick someone you already know, or type a new name.
4. 0:42Choose the role: seller, buyer, listing agent, selling or co-agent, solicitor, notary, bank, or other. For the agent on the other side of the sale, choose Selling, Co-Agent: their details then prefill any form that names a cooperating agent.
5. 1:03Add their email and phone, then click Add party. A new buyer or seller is added to your CRM as well.
6. 1:16A party with an email address gets their own access to the deal automatically. They see the documents that concern them. I-D and K-Y-C documents stay private unless you share them, and Vault documents are shared only when you choose them.
7. 1:34When you send a document for signature, the party appears under Who signs from this deal, on the review screen. Tick them and click Update signers. Someone who should sign once, but not be on the deal, goes under External signers instead.
8. 1:55To change a party later, open them from the Parties tab, change the details, and click Update party.
9. 2:04Documents you generate afterwards use the new details. A document already out for signature keeps the details it was sent with: to change those, use Correct document.
10. 2:16And check the email address twice: it's where the signature invitation and the deal access are sent.
