Check your public profile and collect reviews

Guide 5 min read 6 steps Updated 1 Nov 2026 Copy link

See your profile the way a client sees it, understand where profile enquiries land, and send clients a link so they can leave a review that shows on your page.

Your public profile is the page clients see when they look you up on The NLS. It shows your name, your area, your bio and the NLS Verified badge, then your active listings, the value of your inventory and your buyer wants. Those numbers are counted from your real listings, so the page is only ever as good as what you have on The NLS.

Every profile has a contact button that turns a visitor into a lead in your CRM, and a star rating built from client reviews. This guide walks through checking the page, following up an enquiry, and asking a client for a review.

Before you start

  • A completed profile: a photo, a bio and your area. If any of these are missing, fill them in on your profile first.
  • At least one published listing, so the profile has something to show.
  • A recent client you can ask for a review, and their email address or WhatsApp number.
  1. Open your profile as a client sees it

Click your profile picture at the top of any page and choose View profile from the menu. This is the public page, exactly as a client sees it.

At the top are your name, your area, your bio and the NLS Verified badge. Below that, your active listings, the value of your inventory and your buyer wants. Market presence shows the towns you list in. Further down, clients can browse your properties and your buyer wants.

Note If a number looks wrong, the fix is in your listings, not on the profile. The page counts whatever is live under My Listings.

  2. Know what a client's enquiry does

Every profile has a Contact Agent button. A client clicks it and fills in their name, email, phone, what they are interested in, and a message. They click Send Enquiry and it comes straight to you.

You do not need to do anything to receive it. In your CRM the enquiry arrives as a new buyer lead in the New Lead column. Open it and the message, phone number and email are already there, ready for you to follow up.

  3. Open My Reviews

From the same menu under your profile picture, choose My Reviews. You will see your star rating, your review count, and how many reviews are positive or negative.

  4. Send a client your review link

Click Copy review link. Paste the link into an email or a WhatsApp message to your client, with a line asking whether they would mind leaving a few words about working with you.

The best moment to ask is soon after a completed sale or a successful viewing, while the experience is fresh.

  5. What your client does

Your client opens the link, picks a star rating and writes a few words. They do not need an NLS account: a visitor who is not logged in is simply asked for their name and email. They then click Leave a review.

The NLS team checks every review before it goes live, usually within a day or two. You do not need to approve it yourself.

Note Tell the client about the short check in advance, so they do not think their review was lost.

  6. See your rating go live

Once a review is approved, My Reviews shows the new count and your rating. Your stars appear on your public profile, and clients can click them to read every review.

Good to know

  • Ask every happy client. A rating built from a handful of reviews moves a lot with each one. A steady flow of reviews gives a truer picture.
  • The same link works for everyone. You do not need a new link per client. Keep it in a note or a saved message so it is ready to paste.
  • Profile enquiries are leads, not emails. Look for them in the New Lead column of your CRM rather than in your inbox.
  • Your profile is counted live. Publishing a listing or adding a buyer want updates the profile straight away.
