1. 0:08Sometimes a mistake only shows after a contract has gone out for signature. Don't send a second copy: on the deal's Signatures tab, Correct document puts it right without a duplicate.
2. 0:23First decide what kind of fix it is. A wrong email address, an invitation that didn't arrive or a signer who's gone quiet are fixed from the signer's menu: Remind, resend the invitation, edit the email or copy the signing link. The document itself stays as it is.
3. 0:44A mistake in the document itself, in a figure, a name, a date or a clause, needs Correct document. Here the price went out wrong, and nobody has signed yet.
4. 1:00Find the document's row, open its menu, and choose Correct document.
5. 1:06The current signature request is cancelled straight away. The signing links already sent stop working, so nobody can sign the old version by mistake, and anyone who had already signed will sign the corrected version again. Tell your client a corrected copy is coming.
6. 1:26A new version opens in the contract builder, with everything you had entered.
7. 1:32Change only what was wrong, and check the contract on the right as it updates. If the error came from a party's details, correct them on the Parties tab as well, so later documents are right too.
8. 1:51Click Review and send, and check the signers and the signing order.
9. 1:57Then click Send for signature. Fresh invitations go out, in order.
10. 2:03The corrected version is now the only one out for signature.
11. 2:08The cancelled version stays in the deal's history, so the record shows what was sent and when. Read the preview before you send: correcting is quick, but it costs your client a second signing.
